Snow White mixes classic fairy tale with modern special effects

Rosy’s Random Review: The film Snow White and the Huntsman, which is currently playing at The Strand Theatre, is an awesome remix of the famous fairy tale, Snow White. The effects in the movie are incredible, especially those in the scenes in the Dark Forest.
My favorite actor in the film was Charlize Theron who starred as Queen Ravenna. She went all the way with her character and was scarily good. Kristen Stewart did a good job, as always, in the role of Snow White.
I personally loved this movie and would recommend it to kids ages nine and up. It’s not that scary or gory, so it’s not too bad for little kids. But, it’s definitely a lot more intense than the famous animated Disney film of 1937. I say check it out anyway, before it’s too late!

Dear Worried,
There’s nothing I hate more than studying, but my trick is having someone help me. No, not that goofy friend who won’t take it seriously and will only want to talk about stuff other than boring school work. I suggest studying with a parent, sibling, friend, etc.
Pull out the main worksheets that have most of the information that is on the test (because I know the teachers hinted at some of the main subjects beforehand that would appear on the tests) and go over it on your own. Then have your study buddy quiz you on that.
Also, you can print off old regents from the past (I suggest going back to 2006 or 2007 tests) and practice those. It’s a lot of work, but it’s worth it in the end. Good luck!
