Thank you Inlet flower planting volunteers

Some of Inlet’s Hanging Basket volunteers were, from left, Margie O’Hara, Patty Wittmeyer, and Charlie Herr.

The Town of Inlet Beautification Committee would like to give a Special Thanks to those that met on Tuesday, June 5th at Arrowhead Park to plant the gorgeous hanging baskets throughout the Town and Park.

This event has been taking place for well over 22 years. The project was started by Inlet resident Marylee Kalil, who due to her love of plants, has brought beauty to the Town throughout the summer season.

The plants were purchased from local businesses Zone 3 and Pedals and Petals, and planting materials were purchased from Inlet Department Store/ACE Hardware, making this a true community supported effort.

A Special Thanks goes to Margie O’Hara, Nancy Jennings, Adele Burnett, Charlie Herr, Reggie and Paul Chambers, Jason Pallotta and Mitch Lee for planting, watering and hanging the baskets. Nancy Jennings has volunteered to do the daily watering, but volunteers are always welcomed to join in and help her at anytime.
