This winter, the library hosted an exhibit of photographs taken by members of the Old Forge Camera Club.

Fourteen members of the club exhibited a total of 51 works.

The show was enjoyed by many library patrons during the winter months, and preparing the works for the show was a great learning experience for members of the club.

The members of the club look forward to doing more exhibits at the library in the future.

To thank the library, the club members decided to donate books for a new digital photography section in the library.

The books can now be found in the non-fiction section of the library, and club members hope that local residents will enjoy the opportunity to learn more about digital photography.

In addition, Old Forge Camera Club member Sue Kiesel will present a “Basic Digital Photography Workshop” at the library for interested participants ages 10 through adult.

The workshop will be held on Thursday, June 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. Call the library at (315) 369-6008 to register. Walk-ins are welcome.

The Old Forge Camera Club meets at View on the second Thursday of the month at 7 p.m.

If you are interested in joining, drop in at a meeting or e-mail: oldforgecameraclubowner@yahoogroups.com.
