Town of Webb School Board meets

The Town of Webb UFSD Board of Education held a meeting on Tuesday, March 20, where it took the following action:

• Approved the Minutes of March 6th Meeting.

• Approved the Warrants and Claims.

• Approved the Committee on Special Education Recommendations.

• Approved the Treasurer’s Report for February 2012.

• Approved the of election inspectors/poll watchers at a stipend of $85 as follows: Dora Burnett, Pauline MacDonald, Mona Lincoln, Joan Spring, Betty Draper, and Anne Hasby. Alternate Election Inspectors are Carol Clark and Janine Phaneuf.• Approved that the Town of Webb Union Free School District Board of Registration shall meet in the schoolhouse of said district located at 3002 NYS Route 28, Old Forge, New York on May 3, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The purpose is to prepare the final voter registration register of the school district for the Annual Budget Vote. Budget Hearings have been established for April 30 at 7 p.m. at the Big Moose Fire Hall, and on May 2 at 7:00 p.m. at the Woodgate Free Library, and the Annual Budget Hearing will be on May 8 at 7 p.m. in the Town of Webb UFSD gymnasium. The Budget Vote be established May 15 from 2 to 9 p.m. in the Town of Webb UFSD gymnasium.

• Approved the request from the Mohawk Valley Chamber of Commerce, for the use of two (2) drivers and buses on Friday, August 24.

The purpose is to transport participants from Thendara Station to Thendara Golf Course and return.

The Mohawk Valley Chamber of Commerce will bear all related costs, and the agreement is contingent upon provision of a certificate of insurance naming the school district as an additional insured and pending the availability of a bus driver.

• Approved the 2012-2013 school district budget in the amount of $7,572,695 and the Board of Education be authorized to levy the necessary tax on the real property of the district.

• Approved the revised Administrative Procedure 5003.00. – District Table of Organization.

Special Topics: Four candidates were interviewed for the Principal’s position. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in the Library.
