Learning to Cook Ad’k class set for March 11

Nancy Pulling Best will lead a free lecture, “Learning to Cook Adirondack”, at View on Sunday, March 11 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Nancy Pulling Best, a fourth generation Adirondack native, is originally from Thendara.

Best says she has loved writing since junior high school and credits retired Town of Webb School  English teacher, Annette Eyre, for inspiring her passion.

Her recently released first book, “Learning to Cook Adirondack,” includes memories, historic photos and recipes from local residents including Inez Rudd, Carol Schmid, Doris Griffen Best, Ida Mae Winter, Terry Lehnen, Annette Eyer, Midge Daiker, Louise Watson, Ceil Buckley and Ruth Brussel.

During the lecture recipe samples will be served along with coffee, tea and punch.
