Barnstormers’ Poker Run draws 77 snowmobile competitors

The Inlet Barnstormers Snowmobile Club sponsored its 13th annual Poker Run on Friday and Saturday, January 20 and 21.

Dealer Ernie Gilbert with Scott Elsesser from Tylersport, PA, who won the $300 top prize for best hand in the Poker run.

There were 77 participants in this year’s event with 20 of them visiting all 24 sponsors.

Winners were announced at the Finish Line Party at Daiker’s Inn on Saturday night where over 70 door prizes were handed out.

David Cannon of Westchester, PA, took the prize for riding to all 24 Poker Run sponsor locations.

The winners of the poker hands were: Scott Elsesser of Tylersport, PA – first prize award of $300; Lisa Cosgrove of Guilderland – second prize of $200; and Mel Dupke of Derby, CT – third prize of $100.

The winner among those who rode to all 24 sponsors was David Cannon of Westchester, PA who won the $100 prize. John Cannon of Holmes, PA won the $235 pot in the 50/50 drawing.“Everyone seemed to have fun and had a safe ride. Thanks to all the participants for making it a successful event,” said Fred Trimbach, event co-organizer.
