The Old Forge Hardware has been selling soup can tags as a fundraising effort for the food pantries at Niccolls Memorial and St. Bartholomew’s Churches.

The Hardware Store has pledged to match donations up to $500 with all proceeds to benefit the food pantries.

So far $388 has been collected, which leaves them just $112 away from their goal that will ultimately translate into a $1,000 donation to the cause.

“The pantries are always in need of food for families and individuals in the community, especially during this Christmas season,” said Erica Murray, co-owner of the Old Forge Hardware.

Non-perishable food items are also being accepted at the Hardware Store and can also be left at Niccolls Memorial Church or at St. Bartholomew’s Church.
