Thank you for coverage of local law enforcement personnel achievements

Herkimer County Sheriff Chris Farber is shown being sworn in as President of the New York State Sheriff’s Association at a ceremony held in Albany last January. The ceremony was held during the Sheriffs’ Association’s 82nd Annual Winter Training Conference at the Desmond Hotel. As President, Sheriff Farber works with sheriffs around the state to further the efforts of the Sheriffs’ Association to enhance public safety in New York State through professional training and accreditation programs, public safety programs, and advocacy. The association was formed in 1934 to assist sheriffs in the efficient and effective delivery of services to the public. It comprises all elected and appointed sheriffs on New York State. Kudos to The Weekly Adirondack for the detailed and positive coverage of Webb Police Department activities. And congratulations to Officer Birtle for well deserved recognition!

Note that Herkimer County Sheriff Chris Farber was recently elected President of the New York State Sheriff’s Association by his peers. He and other officers were sworn in by Herkimer County Judge John Brennan. The meeting was in Albany.
