Old Forge Library to host reception January 8th for Mixed Media Exhibit

Patti Delano alsoAn exhibit featuring the work of local mixed-media artist Patti Delano will open with a reception at the Old Forge Library on Friday, January 8 from 5 to 7 p.m. The public is invited and refreshments will be served.

A self-taught artist, Delano started her love of paper crafting while working in a retail arts and crafts store 19 years ago.

Her love of paper crafts has expanded throughout the years and grown into recycled art, altered art, and mixed media. She also creates one of a kind recycled vintage jewelry pieces, and up-cycled/re-purposed furniture pieces.

She has recently branched out into teaching and has led local classes in re-cycled art, paper crafts, stamping, and scrapbooking.

She has also done demonstrations in card making and furniture painting in local businesses, including Souvenir Village and ACE/Old Forge Department Store.

She owns a paper craft business, Patti’s Paper Crafts, and has her own line of outdoor and Adirondack-themed rubber stamps, which she sells locally and on-line.

Her retail store is located inside the Dragonfly Cottage, a seasonal business located on Main Street in Old Forge.

Her exhibit will be on display through March 12 .
