The Town of Webb Police Department has reported the following recent law enforcement activity.
• A 74-year-old Old Forge man was charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration (misdemeanor) and Harassment 2nd degree (violation) following an incident that occurred on Thursday, September 10 at 9:30 a.m.
According to the report, Town of Webb Police Department arrested the man following an investigation into a complaint that occurred on Tuesday, September 8 at a local business located on Route 28 in Town of Webb.
Police investigation determined that the man threatened a New York State Agriculture and Markets Horticulture inspector while he was attempting to conduct a state mandated nursery dealer inspection.
The man was issued appearance tickets to answer to the said charges in the Town of Webb Court at a later date.
• A 26-year-old Old Forge man was charged with Disorderly Conduct following an incident that occurred on Thursday, September 10 at 9:30 p.m.
According to the report, the subject was taken into custody subsequent to a report of a disturbance behind Walt’s Diner. The man was located on Main Street in front of Souvenir Village, a public place, yelling obscene language causing annoyance and alarm. He was processed and released.
• A 29-year-old Old Forge woman was charged with Speed in Zone, Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Intoxicated with blood alcohol level over .08%, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with blood alcohol level over .18%, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana following an incident that occurred on Tuesday, September 16 at 12:59 a.m.
According to the report, a traffic stop of the defendant for operating at 49 mph in a 30 mph zone resulted in the arrest of the defendant for DWI.
Further investigation revealed that the defendant possessed a small amount of marijuana and a small glass smoking device containing marijuana residue.
The defendant was released on appearance tickets returnable to Town of Webb Court at a later date.
