Services held for Adam C. Winslow, 19

Adam Charles Winslow, 19, passed away on September 3, 2015. He was born on November 20, 1995 in the Lewis County General Hospital at Lowville, NY, the youngest of three boys to William and Laurie (Worden) Winslow, Old Forge, NY.

Adam was a 2014 graduate of the Town of Webb UFSD where he lettered on the golf, soccer, cross country and alpine ski teams. 

He was studying online through the SUNY System.

Adam was employed at Rivett’s Marine in Old Forge for the past five years.

Adam loved his Adirondacks. His time spent outdoors was split between working and hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, golfing, and boating with a particular passion for downhill skiing. Adam was a young man that instilled passion and drive in anyone.

Whether family, friend, or stranger; his outgoing personality and gentle mannerisms touched everyone he meet with an uplifting positive spark.

He always ended every conversation with family and friends with, “I love you.” Adam will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Adam is survived by his parents, and brothers William “John” and Sarah (Lukens) Winslow II, Old Forge, and Ryan and Jocelyn (Van Velsor) Winslow and their son Ezra, Denver, CO; grandmothers Theresa Winslow of Old Forge and Phyllis Worden of Port Leyden; paternal aunts and uncles Margaret and Robert Montgomery, Charles B. Winslow, Jr., Diane and Chris Gaige, David Winslow, and Barb Winslow, all of Old Forge, and Edward and Debbie (Woods) Winslow, Buffalo, NY.

Additional survivors include maternal aunts and uncles Ann and Ed Demski, Pittsburgh, PA, and Dean and Tracey Worden, Damian Worden, and Kim Worden, all of Port Leyden, NY; and numerous other relatives throughout NY and PA.

Adam was predeceased by his grandfathers Charles B. Winslow, Sr., of Old Forge, and Eugene F. Worden, of Boonville.

A Catholic Funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, September 8 at St. Bartholomew’s Church in Old Forge. Online messages of sympathy may be left at www.dfwefh.com.
