The Inlet Golf Club Men’s League recently held its league championship playoffs and end of season scramble.
In the league championship playoff gross division, Dale Wolfe of Inlet edged out defending champion Bob Philipson of Old Forge in a match that wasn’t determined until the last hole of play.
The net division title was won by Sid Payne of Inlet in a three-man playoff, defeating Pat Perkins and Bill Collins, both of Old Forge.
The end of the year four-man scramble was held Monday, August 24. Finishing first with a score of 60 was the team of Bob Philipson, Bob DiOrio, Pat Perkins and Phil Sanzone.
The second place team of Dave Long, Jim Keough, Tom McCabe and Bill Collins shot a 61. And finishing third with a score of 63 was Dave Bull, Tim Dowling, Bob Galliher and Rick Alesia.
The day was capped off with an awards dinner at Mulligans Restaurant at the club.
