Tony-nominated play Arcadia, comes to VIEW

Pendragon Theatre will present the play, Arcadia, at VIEW’s Gould Hall on Monday, August 24 at 8 p.m.

Arcadia has been praised as the finest play from one of the most significant contemporary playwrights in the English language, Tom Stoppard.

It won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Play and was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Play in 1995.

The play is set at Sidley Park, an English country house, and takes place in 1809 and 1812, as well as present day.

The activities of two modern scholars and the house’s current residents are juxtaposed with those of the people who lived there in the earlier period, particularly Lord Byron.

Admission is $20 for the general public and $18 for VIEW members.

Seating is limited; advanced sale tickets are recommended.
