4th Annual Old Forge Triathlon taking place at lakefront, Aug. 16

The Fourth Annual Old Forge Triathlon, an intermediate distance triathlon featuring a 1,000m swim, 22-mile bike, and a four-mile run, will be held Sunday, August 16.

The race, presented by Enchanted Forest Water Safari, will begin from Lakeview Ave., along the Old Forge lakefront, with the last wave of participants leaving at 8 a.m. 

The bike course will take competitors from Route 28 to Inlet and circling back from the South Shore Road.

The run course follows the Tobie Trail and surrounding quiet roads in the Town of Webb.

Spectators can expect to see competing athletes throughout the area from 8 to 10:30 a.m.

On-line registration is available through August 15 at: atcendurance.com. Individual fee is $80 and $125 for relay teams.

All athletes will receive complimentary entry to Enchanted Forest Water Safari, Made in the USA Atayne technical t-shirt (for athletes registered by August 1), Quality Age Group and overall awards, food and beverage immediately following the race, and free photo downloads courtesy of Hendrick Photography and Oneida Wealth.

The Old Forge Triathlon is a USAT Sanctioned event and organized by Michael Brych, president and founder of ATC Endurance, a full service race management company based in New York Mills.
