Reception set August 7th for library’s Carolynn McCann photography exhibit

Adirondack Landscape and Fine Art Photography, a solo exhibit featuring the work of award-winning artist Carolynn McCann, is currently on display at the Old Forge Library.

An Opening Exhibit Reception will be held on Friday, August 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. with acoustic music by Dan Vellone.

The public is invited to stop by for light refreshments, meet and visit with the artist and view her beautiful work. 

McCann, a longtime Old Forge resident  graduated with an Associates in Arts in Photography from Herkimer County Community College (HCCC) and continued her education at Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute of Utica.

As an artist, her strengths are composition, the use of color and texture, and editing.

For the past 14 years she has been the Director/Librarian of the Raquette Lake Library.

The opening reception will be held in conjunction with the Old Forge First Friday Art Walk.

Pick up an Art Walk card, visit any or all of the participants’ locations and get it stamped.

Drop off the card at any location and you will be included in a drawing for a prize.
