Gun Show and Adirondack Expo returns to Old Forge pavilion on August 1 and 2

The New Eastcoast Arms Collectors Associates, Inc. (NEACA) will host a Gun Show and Adirondack Expo at the George T. Hiltebrant Recreation Center on North Street in Old Forge on Saturday and Sunday, August 1 and 2.

This will be the eighth time NEACA President David Petronis and his partner and wife, Cathy, have hosted the local show at the GTH Center since 2009.Approximately 120 tables will fill the facility and be covered with exhibitors’ products from guns and ammunition to art and Adirondack items.

“Some of the finest collectible firearms in the Northeast will be at this show. Dealers of hunting, sporting and target guns will also be there to buy, sell or trade with the general public,” Petronis said.

Attendees can expect to find such items as older guns and military collectables to survival and camping gear; old animal traps to tanned skins and pelts; vintage Adirondack items to classic art and sporting antiques.

They can take advantage of purchasing ammo from specialty ammunition dealers who will also be in attendance, Petronis said.

Public times for the show are Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Daily admission is $7, seniors over 60 are $6 and children under 14 are admitted free with an adult.

An on-site food concession will be provided by Van Auken’s Inne and breakfast and lunch will be available both days.

NEACA, Inc. been organizing and promoting gun and militaria shows since 1982; their longest running show is in Saratoga Springs.

Upcoming shows are planned at the Saratoga Springs City Center during racing season on Saturday and Sunday, August 22 and 23 and at the Icetime Arena in Newburgh, NY on August 29 and 30.
