Community volunteers came to the George T. Hiltebrant Recreation Center on North Street in Old Forge on Wednesday, June 10 to plant the hundreds of hanging baskets that now line the Route 28 corridor from Thendara to Raquette Lake, as well as the hamlets of Big Moose and Stillwater.
The flower basket beautification project, now in its 17th year, is sponsored by CAP-21.
