Library to present Gazebo Music Series from May to September

The Old Forge Library will present a series of live music performances at the library’s front lawn gazebo on the fourth Friday of each month from May through September.

The series, Meet Me at the Library Gazebo at 5, will be held from 5 to 6 p.m.

Kicking off the series on Friday, May 22 will be Adirondack duo, Jim and Bonnie Tracy.

The couple have been playing music together since 1979.

Inspired by talents as diverse as The Memphis Jug Band, Mississippi John Hurt, The and Smothers Brothers, Jim and Bonnie enjoy performing traditional music, old time country, Piedmont Blues and sixties folk music.

Jim plays the banjo, guitar and harmonica while Bonnie unifies the sound on the upright bass.

Other artists performing throughout the season include Nick Piccininni, Cincinnati Creek Band, and Dan Vellone and Doug Green Duo.

All are invited to bring a blanket or folding chair and enjoy the outdoor music.

The program is free and open to the public.

It is funded in part by New York State Council on the Arts: the Presenting Program.
