Old Forge area eateries and attractions were lauded by readers of Adiron-dack Life as the magazine has announced the winners of its Best of the Adirondacks 2015 poll.
Readers weighed-in on a number of subjects—such as food and cocktails, entertainment and recreation, camping and lodging—in determining the winners.
Local restaurant standouts were Walt’s Diner, cited for Best Breakfast and first runner-up in the Diner category; 5 Corners Café was first runner-up in Fine Dining; The Tavern in Eagle Bay, first runner-up in the Burger category; and Daiker’s Inn, first runner-up for Outdoor Dining.
The Old Forge Camping Resort tied with the DEC’s Fish Creek Campground in Saranac Lake as Best Campground, while Enchanted Forest Water Safari was first runner-up for Tourist Attraction.
The Strand Theatre was voted the top Park pick for Cinemas; and Thendara Golf Club and the Old Forge Farmers’ Market were first runners-up in their individual categories.
