Virginia B. Hesse, 96, passes away

Virginia Barnes Hesse, age 96, of the Lutheran Home, Clinton, N.Y., formerly of Old Forge, Dolgeville, Utica, N.Y., and Los Angeles, CA passed away on March 3, 2015.

She was predeceased by her husband George, of Utica in 1978, her sister, Marian Gould of California in 1976, her daughter-in-law, Linda J. Hesse of Marcy in 1994, and her granddaughter Kimberly Hesse of Michigan in 2014.

She was employed by Utica College, and the Tri-County Medical Society prior to her relocation to California in 1975, and subsequent retirement in Old Forge in 1989.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Mary Hesse, of Naples, FL, and Raquette Lake, NY; a son and daughter-in-law, Frederic and Roberta Hesse, of Marcy, NY; grandchildren, Todd Hesse (and his partner James Adams) of Cali-fornia, Scott (and Patricia) Hesse of Michigan, Chad (and Margaret) Hesse of Ohio, Troy (and Carin) Hesse of Ohio; great-grandchildren, Jason, Kaitlyn, Bridget, Lindsey, and Emily Grace Hesse of Michigan, Joshua Hesse of Ohio, and Emily Linda Hesse of Ohio; cousins, Beatrice (Mark) Brown of California, and Norma Simpson of South Carolina, and nephews Thomas and Richard Gould of California, as well as dear friends in Los Angeles and Chula Vista, California, Dolge-ville, Lancaster, Boonville, and Old Forge, NY.

At her request, there will be cremation, no calling hours, no services, and no  “in-memory-of” donations.
