On December 16, 2014 I read an article on WKTV.com regarding a sign displayed at one of the Utica Fire Houses.
The sign reads: “Happy Birthday Jesus, We Love You.” The article reports this sign has apparently been placed in front of one fire house at Christmas time since post 9/11.
The Freedom from Religion Foundation has written letters to Utica Fire Chief Russell Brooks asking that the sign be taken down. To his credit, this writer’s opinion, he has not taken the sign down.
If you agree with the sign or the freedom to place the sign, I ask you to send the Utica Fire Department a Christmas card or letter of support.
