Charles E. Brassel, 82, passes away

Charles E. Brassel, 82, of Old Forge and formerly of Braintree, MA, passed away October 15, 2014 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

He was born October 2, 1932 in Utica, a son of William and Clara (Owen) Brassel. Charlie enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1949, and was honorably discharged in 1953.

He eventually retired as a Plant Manager of a metal fabricating company in Braintree, MA.

Survivors include a sister, Joan Johnson of Montgomery, AL; two nephews and a niece; and special friends Linda and Rocco DePaul. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Lois, and a son, Mark.

In accordance with Charlie’s wishes, services will be private. There are no calling hours.

Friends are asked to consider a donation in his memory to the Town of Webb Historical Association, P. O. Box 513, Old Forge, NY 13420.
