From two of the Great Grandchildren of Philo Clark Wood to the wonderful community of Inlet, NY…
Greetings!
Recently, we had the great pleasure of accompanying our parents, including our mother, Mary Jane Hutto (née Hall,) to the Woods Inn for a family vacation.
Our mother grew up on Fourth Lake and her grandfather, Philo Clark Wood, was the original owner/operator of “The Wood Hotel.”
She got a real kick out of coming back here and seeing all that had changed, (and especially the things that didn’t!)
Everyone was so kind to us and she was treated like a superstar!
We particularly want to thank Proprietor Charlie Frey and the entire wonderful staff at The Woods Inn, for taking such an interest in our mother’s stories about the history of the hotel.
Thank you for making our time in Inlet so special!
