Mrs. Mary (Maio) Diamond, age 84, of Old Forge, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014.
She was born on September 20, 1928, in Erie, PA, a daughter of John Maio and Mary Rodrigues Maio.
Mary worked for many years at Bendix, till she married on April 2, 1970.
Surviving is her husband, Edward; her four children, Mark, Stephanie, John, and Catherine; one sister, Elizabeth; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
There will only be a family visitation, but her relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, September 19 at 10 a.m. at St. Bartholomew’s in Old Forge.
The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of mass in the church basement.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you, especially to Sunset Nursing Home for their wonderful care for Mary and her family.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Sunset Nursing Home, 232 Academy St., Boonville, NY 13309, are suggested.
