Dr. Douglas Thayer, owner of Clinton New Hartford Chiropractic of New Hartford, has recently purchased Old Forge Chiropractic located in the Muffin Patch Complex at 2946 State Route 28.
Dr. Thayer will share his time between both practices, which is good news for his local patients who have been traveling the 50-plus miles for chiropractic needs.
The opening of the local practice was the fullfillment of a dream for Dr. Thayer who said he has been interested in doing so for the last 10 years.
Like many, he created a bond with the area at a young age. His parents, Loretta and the late Dr. Bob Thayer, camped with their kids at Golden Beach for a number of years before buying their own property on Raquette Lake where they summered with their family.
Dr. Bob, who had a long-time chiropractic practice in the Syracuse area, and Loretta bought a home in Old Forge following his retirement.
Doug and his wife, Alishia, ultimately bought their own place on Raquette Lake which they currently enjoy with their children, 15-year-old Meradith and Harreson, 11.
Dr. Thayer has been practicing chiropracty for the past 17 years and provides an array of treatment techniques based on the needs of his patients.
And soon, he will be providing another facet of health care services with the introduction of Nutrimost, an individualized, non-invasive weight management system that provides a complete body analysis using Resonant Frequency Technology.
The technology, developed by Dr. Ray Wisniewski, is said to be so advanced and specific that it can determine the exact blueprint a person needs to bring their body into an optimal state of fat burning or health, and can determine hormonal imbalances and organ function weaknesses.
The Nutrimost system, which would be supervised by Dr. Thayer, is all natural and evaluates every factor that regulates appetite, metabolism, fat storage, and fat burning.
Once he is ready to launch the service, he will provide an informational program to the public.
Dr. Thayer is currently conducting office hours on Tuesdays from 1:30 to 4 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. or later should their be a need.
He welcomes all new patients and former patients of Dr. Elliot Levy.
More information about his services are available by calling (315) 369-3525.
