Patrick J. Venetz will be seeking the Republican nomination in the race for Town of Webb Justice. Venetz, a longtime resident of Old Forge, formerly served Webb as Town Justice.
With 12 years of judicial experience, he has handled over 9,000 cases.
He has over 22 years of law enforcement experience in both the public and private sectors and has an AAS degree in Criminal Justice-Police Science.
He and his wife Nancy have two sons, Casey and Patrick, and have owned and operated the 19th Green Motel for the past 26-plus years.
“Though I wasn’t born here, I consider this my home. I sincerely care about this community and the people who live here. I did a good job previously at the Town of Webb Justice Court and look forward to having the opportunity to do so once again,” Venetz said.
He will be pursuing the four-year Town Justice position currently held by James Miller.
Old Forge resident Tony Tormey, has also announced his interest in the Republican candidacy.
The first day for signing and designating petitions for state and local primaries is Thursday, May 29th.
Designating petitions must be filed between July 7 and 10th. Primary elections will be held on Tuesday, September 9th.
