It is with excitement that I inform you of the awards Town of Webb Union Free School District art students have recently received at the 31st Annual Tri-County Art Show at the Dulles State Office Building in Watertown, NY.

The Opening Reception for this show was held on Monday May 12th and the show will conclude on May 22nd.

Throughout the year students have been creating incredible work in preparation of this show. Teachers from each participating district are only allowed to submit 15 carefully selected works to this high-caliber, regional, and juried show.

Of the 15 artworks that TOW students submitted, four were awarded first place blue ribbons: Ashley Fallon, Allie Evans, Ally Cooper, and Chloe Barkauskas.

Congratulations especially to senior, Camry Liddle. Her digital photography portfolio was one of only three accepted into the show this year.

Her portfolio was awarded third place overall.

This is a great accomplishment and a great note to end her art experience here at the Town of Webb.

My conversations with other participating teachers were very positive regarding our students’ work that was submitted to this show for the second time this year. I look forward to submitting more work to shows of this impressive level in the future.

I am incredibly proud of all my students and excited to see their artistic interest continually growing as I conclude my fourth year as the K-12 Art Teacher at Town of Webb Union Free School District.

Thank you, all brave and creative participants. Thank you, parents for allowing your children to partake in this Art Exhibition and fostering the arts within your home.

Thank you to the Webb Way and VIEW for sponsoring our students’ participation.

Please keep in mind our 3rd Annual Student Show at View will open June 8th from 1 to 3 p.m. on Neighbor Day. We hope to see you then for a great collection of student artwork, live music, and refreshments.

Sincerely,

Robert Fountain, Town of Webb UFSD K-12 Art Teacher
