Mountainman Outdoor Supply Company will present the 16th Annual Adirondack Paddlefest, the nation’s largest on-water canoe, kayak and stand-up-paddleboard (SUP) demo and sale, at the Old Forge lakefront on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 16, 17 and 18th.
The event will include clinics, on-site test paddling, speakers, instruction, live music, food and fun for the whole family.
New to this year’s roster of events is a Fishing Tournament on Saturday. Pre-registration fee is $20 through Monday, May 12, and $25 up until 10 a.m. the day of the event. The winner of the largest catch wins a 2014 Wilderness Systems Ride 115X kayak, a $1,029 value.
Paddlefest will also feature over 75 leading manufacturers of canoes, kayaks, SUP’s and accessories. On-site vendors include We-no-nah, Current Designs, Dagger, Swift, Liquidlogic, Wilderness Systems, Mad River, Pyranha, Native, Wave Sport, Perception, Hurricane, BIC SUP and more.
John Nemjo, owner of Mountainman Outdoor Supply, Co., will be hosting a similar, smaller-scale event, Saratoga Paddlefest, on Saturday and Sunday, May 3 and 4 on Fish Creek in Saratoga Springs. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free.
Admission to Adirondack Paddlefest is $5 per day with children 12 and under admitted free. Visitors can choose to test paddle all weekend for $20 and be admitted free to the show. The $20 test paddle fee is applied to a canoe, kayak, or SUP purchase.
