Card of thanks

I have already sent out many personal Thank You notes, but this one has taken me longer to write because I can’t come up with the words to show how grateful Sid, Shane and I are for everything everyone has done for us through Sid’s awful accident.

I had said not long after we were in the hospital that sometimes the most wonderful things can come from the worst of times… We can’t thank you all enough for all the love, support, prayers and generocity we have received—overwhelming and unbelievable, and so very appreciated!

From the very first night, to all the responders who worked so quickly to get Sid in the air and to the hospital, to all the family and friends who rallied around us in the hospital, to the folks that helped Shane at home while I was by Sid’s side, to the benefit…WOW!! First, who would have thought Sid would be there?! We are so very blessed.

To the Eagle Bay Firemen, thank you for all you did to put the benefit together. To all the businesses that donated for the raffle, thank you! To Dave Fishman, thank you for donating the meat for the benefit. To Eric Sutherland, thank you for all you donated, for your help at the benefit and for your friendship. Really appreciated your visit to the hospital and your caring calls.

To all my gals who were there for me: Connie, Susan, Khynna, Paige, Kim, Dee, Netti…I love you all! To my fellow fire ladies, thank you for all you have done, too. Love ya!

To all others, thank you for all the donations that made the benefit such a success. I brought a book to the fire hall for everyone to sign and there were over 200 signatures!

If I forgot anyone, forgive me. I really do try to get personal thank yous out to everyone, as I have always thought it important.

Sid is on the mend, and in time all this will be behind us. But this situation could have been so much worse, as we all know too well. Our community has lost far too may loved ones too soon and I thank God every day for answering our prayers.

So, once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This place we call home is full of a lot of wonderful people and I’m grateful to you all.

God bless,

Shane and Penny Beach
