Megan Osterhout Brakeley and August Kashiwa Brakeley were married on August 17, 2013 in Middlebury, VT. The ceremony took place at the Congregational Church, officiated by Pastor Andy Nagy-Benson. 
Following the ceremony, a wedding parade was led by Gene Childers’ Yankee Doodle Brass Band through town to a reception at the couple’s home on the Otter Creek.
Megan is the daughter of Deborah and Donald Osterhout of Gibsonia, PA. Megan graduated from Middle-bury College and is pursuing a Masters of Environmental Management at Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Science.
Gus is the son of Dr. Jody and Coach Peter Brakeley of Middlebury, VT. and holds a B.A. and M.A. in Political Science from the University of Canterbury (New Zealand). Gus is a coach for Middlebury College’s football and men’s lacrosse programs.
Gus is the grandson of Miriam D. Kashiwa and the late Henry M. Kashiwa of Old Forge, NY.
The couple would like to thank everyone who was involved for helping to make their special day such a joyous celebration.
