With 2014–15 Season’s Passes set to go on sale next week at McCauley Mountain, the Town of Webb Board discussed whether it was advisable to adjust the ski area’s rates to reflect regional changes to industry costs.
The Board on a recommendation from McCauley manager Steve Uzdavinis, examined lift prices for Snow Ridge, Woods Valley, and Royal Mountain as comparable ski areas to McCauley.
It was determined that Adult and Junior McCauley Season Pass prices should be increased by $20.
So, adult passes will be $305 or $259 with preseason discount applied. Junior passes will be $235 or $199 preseason.
Senior passes will remain $99 for ages 60 to 65, and free for ages 70 and above.
A reciprocal pass, that entitles the bearer to free skiing at other participating ski areas, will be availble to seniors 70 and above at a cost of $50.
Season Passes discounted for preseason purchase would also increase in cost by $20.
The board noted that the new rates remain consistent with McCauley’s reputation as one of the state’s more affordable ski areas.
McCauley Adult Season Pass purchasers will continue to save as much as $164 over comparable ski areas.
Junior skiers will save as much as $234.
Senior skiers will save as much as $311 over comparable mountain prices.
