Kyle was born in Utica, NY on August 7, 1989, to Douglas and Judy (McGlynn) Riedman and lived his entire life in Old Forge.

Starting with the Kinderwood preschool program, he then attended Town of Webb Schools and graduated in 2008 amongst a special group of lifelong friends.

He continued his education at Paul Smith’s College, earning an Associate of Science Degree in Agricultural and Landscape Management and a Bachelors of Science in Forestry and Vegetation Management in 2011 and 2012, respectively.

Kyle was a natural leader and accomplished athlete, winning various awards as a three-sport letterman in Soccer, Basketball and Baseball for the Town of Webb Schools.

He continued his athletic career beyond high school, playing American Legion baseball for Boonville’s Love Post and was a four-year starter in Soccer at Paul Smith’s College, the last two of which as co-captain.

Beyond organized sports, Kyle was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying skiing, hunting, fishing and camping.

He spent many hours and happy times on the ice, water or in the woods accompanied by his father, uncles, cousins, friends and dogs.

Kyle’s love of the outdoors and his industrious, entrepreneurial spirit led him to begin his own lawn care business at age 13, which through hard work and a focus on quality and customer care he grew over the years into a significant business.

Upon graduation from college he became co-owner with his father of Riedman & Son Enterprises, a successful local property management, landscape and firewood business.

Kyle is survived by his loving parents, Douglas and Judy, Old Forge; the love of his life, Sarah Morrison, Park City, UT and Old Forge, to whom he was totally committed; grandmother, Frances McGlynn, Utica; aunts and uncles, Patricia McGlynn, Utica, Mary (Larry) Riedman, Holland Patent, Nancy (Dan) Elliot, Vestal, Christine (Richard) Harter, Marcy, Bill (Sandy) McGlynn, Oriskany, Tom (Christine) McGlynn, Whitesboro, Mike (Jill) McGlynn, New Hartford, and Charles (Tammy) Riedman III, Kirkville; cousins, Jason, Ashley, Kim, Ed, LJ, Tyler, Shavon, Sean, Kelly, Deborah, Michelle, Andrea, Ricky, Kristin and Jay; canine companions, Champ and Brooke.

In addition to family he is survived by his close special friends, Matt Gibbs, Adam Josephson, Kerrin Ehrensbeck, Bob Kratzenberg, Chris Morin, Ben Russell and Trey Socash, his “second” families and others too numerous to mention.
