Polar Bears thankful for help with yurt

The Polar Bear Ski Club would like to thank everyone for all of their help and support in making the dream of a second Yurt at McCauley a reality. In the weeks before the yurt arrived, the site was prepared and the foundation constructed.

The yurt arrived and was erected the first weekend in November. Then the finish work was started, wiring, heating, decks and lighting.

We still have a little more work to do, but the majority is done and we have already started using it.

All of the work has been done completely by volunteers—members and non-members.  Special thanks to: Will Hollister, Bill Greene, Bruce Hodge, Craig Smith, Terry Murray, Robert Moore, Griffin Kleps, Tim Kane, Steve Uzdavinis, Dale Heroux, Billy Fenton, Jon Lis, Ann Greene, Lawrence Bartel, Joe Phaneuf, Matt Phaneuf, Jon Brosemer, Debbie Brosemer, Carl Klossner, Deb Fuge, Sandy Tetreault, Dave Leach, John Leach, Tory Dunn and Jenn Dunn.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank those who supported this project with donations. Thank you to: Walt’s Diner, Hank Kashiwa Family, Northeastern Loggers Associa-tion, The Webster Family, Adirondack Accents, Helmer’s Fuel, The Morrison Family, Five Corner’s Café, Adirondack Woodcraft Camps, Mike and Karen Mitchell, Mountain Greenery, Heroux Constuction Co., The Strand Theatre, Knotty Pine Restaurant, GiGi Hollister and BJ Queen Enterprises.

I hope that I have not forgotten anyone. If I have, I am very sorry, and know that you are appreciated.

Respectfully,

Diane Heroux, President
