Quilts Unlimited exhibition to open Nov. 1

The 27th Annual Quilts Unlimited exhibition at View will open with a public reception on Friday, November 1st. The reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. and will include refreshments and live music by Dan Vellone. Admission is free of charge.

Other exhibits that can also be viewed at the opening are Yardwork, featuring the paintings and mixed media drawings of Christian Carson; and Escapes and Rememory, featuring the photographs of Nick Marshall.

Quilts Unlimited is an open juried competition that features quilts from all over the United States. The show features traditional as well as eclectic quilts and wall hangings.

In addition to the quilt show opening, a number of events are planned for Saturday, November 2 including a lecture and luncheon and a quilting workshop

Vendors will be on-site from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. along with raffles, appraisals and demonstrations.

Admission for the exhibition is $8 or $4 for members. The quilt show will be on display through January 5th.
