Christian Carson’s Yardwork, which is on display in the Eco Gallery, is a series of paintings and mixed media drawings that explore order vs. disorder and how nature transforms through decay.

The largest in the collection was done on a 19-ft. by 7-ft. canvas tarp.

Carson’s paintings, drawings and animations will be shown alongside, and in some cases interact with, objects in the Eco Gallery.

Carson is an artist and teacher in the Visual Arts Department at SUNY Brockport.

He teaches painting and drawing and Arts for Children, a course that instructs teachers on how to incorporate the arts into education.

He has shown his work in solo and group exhibitions throughout the country and has received awards from the Memorial Art Gallery, The New York Foundation for the Arts and The New York State Council on the Arts. Yardwork is on display through December 15th.

Escapes and Rememory represents two sets of manipulated photographs by Nick Marshall. Born and raised in Canton, OH, Marshall holds a BFA from the Columbus College of Art and Design and an MFA from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

The exhibit will be on display through December 8th.
