Inlet Annual Fall Fest returning to Fern Park on September 21 & 22

The 20th Annual Inlet Fall Festival is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, September 21 and 22 at Fern Park on South Shore Road. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to  5 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Among the handcrafted items that will be available for sale throughout the weekend are rustic furniture, pottery, decorative home accents, clothing, hats and gloves, jams, jellies and maple syrup, scented candles, Adirondack landscape photography, walking sticks and much more.

Local potter Greg Rudd will be on-hand to offer pottery demonstrations.

Area vendors in attendance will be Mary Maslyn’s Moose River Candle Co. featuring walking sticks and candles and JWR Photos & Frames featuring the Adirondack photography of Joseph Wild.

Representing Long Lake are Jonathan Esper with his aerial and panoramic photography and Lauren Walker-Arsenaut with her hand-crafted jewlry.

Also in attendance will be Kent Menges of Old Forge with his metal stick art, Adironstix.

Local groups and not-for-profit organizations represented at the festival include the Inlet Barnstormers Snowmobile Club, St. Anthony’s Altar Rosary Society and the Knights of Columbus.

Several activity zones for kids of all ages will also be available. The Inlet Youth Commission will sponsor a Noah’s Ark Animal Workshop and there will be face painting and various activities, including sand art, spin art, gem mining, pumpkin painting, and goldfish games will be provided by Innovative Creations.

On Saturday, Stephen Gratto will present his comedy variety show from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. and  2 to 2:45 p.m. Dave Ruch will provide musical entertainment from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 3 to 4:30 p.m.

Sunday’s entertainer will be Victor the Clown from 10:15 to 11 a.m. and 1:15 to 2 p.m. Music provided by Fritz’s Polka Band will be featured from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2:15 to 4 p.m.

The food court will feature gyros, fried dough, Trish Sehring’s cupcakes and desserts, burgers, curly fries, handmade pretzels,nachos & cheese, and Sam Miller’s soups and spicy chocolate covered bacon.

Parking at Fern Park is limited but a free Shuttle Bus by Ted Payne’s Bus Service will be available both days providing rides from the Arrowhead Park parking area and the lot in front of the Woods Inn.
