VIEW: Dramatic play ‘Doubt’ to stage

Pendragon Theatre will present John Patrick Shanley’s play, Doubt: A Parable, at View on Monday, August 26 at 7:30 p.m.

This play has a new, expanded title since its Broadway run, but the audience can expect the same drama that gathered a Pulitzer Prize and Best Play Tony Award in 2005 under the name of Doubt. DoubtPhoto3

Doubt was made into a much acclaimed movie in 2008 that garnered five Oscar nominations.

The story centers around the battle for truth between Sister Aloysius, principal of a parochial school in the Bronx in 1964, and parish priest Father Flynn regarding his behavior with a young male student.

The play will be directed by SUNY Potsdam professor Kim Bouchard. Tickets are $18 for members of View and $20 for non-members.

They are available by calling (315) 369-6411, or online at ViewArts.org.
