A memorial service was held at the First Reformed Church of Scotia on Friday, August 9 for Janis Kay LeGere, 68, of Glenville who passed away August 1, 2013 at her summer home.

She was born October 14, 1944 in New Orleans, LA and was the daughter of the late Paul and Genevieve Robinson. She moved to Schenectady as a young child and graduated from Draper High School.

Jan’s favorite time of year was Christmas, and she went out of her way to make it a special time for everyone.

She was a member of the First Reformed Church of Scotia where she was a choir member for many years.

She is survived by Edward LeGere her husband of 43 years; daughter, Linea (Michael) Kilgallen; son, Edward LeGere Jr.; stepsons, Christopher and Keith LeGere; brother, Charles (Malia) Robinson; grandchildren, Connor, Michaela, and Kelly Kilgallen and Samantha LeGere.
