STELLA! Streetcar Named Desire coming to View, Monday, Aug. 5th

Pendragon Theatre's Stanley Kowalski and Blanche du BoisView’s Monday Night Theatre Series continues on August 5 with a performance of Tennessee Williams’ American classic, A Streetcar Named Desire.

The cast of Pendragon Theatre will bring the streets of New Orleans alive in Gould Hall for the play that will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Set in New Orleans, Streetcar is an enduring portrait of sex, class and secrets that takes us deep into the life of the main character Blanche du Bois, and her troubled relationship with her sister Stella, and brother-in-law Stanley Kowalski.

This 1948 winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, the play cemented William’s reputation as one of America’s best playwrights. Elia Kazan’s 1951 film, starring Vivien Leigh and Marlon Brando, is an American classic.
