VIEW: Wildlife artist Tom Yacovella to offer talk on Sunday, August 4th

Wildlife artist Tom Yacovella will present “Nature Art: Up Close and Personal” at View on Sunday, August 4 at 2 p.m. Yacovella’s presentation is part of  View’s Science on Sundays series and is free of charge.

Yacovella’s work is based on real-life drama he witnesses in the field. Through his art and teaching, he shares stories which range from natural wariness to intimate moments of courting and parenting.

“My work is a studied search to explore nature’s delicate underbelly,” Yacovella said.

Yacovella has exhibited in galleries across the United States and earned numerous awards in domestic as well as international shows.

He is a graduate of Syra-cuse University and The School of Visual Arts in New York City. His antler sculpture, “Tribute to the White-tail,” is on display in View’s lobby.
