ALCA to present free performances of Macbeth in Inlet, Old Forge & Raquette

Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts will present upcoming performances of Macbeth at three local venues.

Macbeth will be performed on Sunday, July 28 at Inlet’s Arrowhead lakefront at 2 p.m.; and on Wednesday, July 31 there will be a 2 p.m. show at Raquette Lake’s village green and a 7 p.m. at the courtyard of View in Old Forge.

The performances are part of the annual Shakespeare in the Adirondack Park programming and are free of charge.

The Inlet performance is sponsored by the Town of Inlet and View’s by the Town of Webb.

This 60-minute outdoor adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic thriller will feature six performers who play all the roles.

Set in a 20th century militaristic society, it will appeal to audiences new to Macbeth as well as those already acquainted with the renowned tragedy.

The show is suitable for all ages and all are asked to bring their own chair or blanket for the outdoor performances.

Rain site in Old Forge will be View’s Gould Hall, Fern Park Pavilion in Inlet, and Raquette Lake School in Raquette Lake.
