It’s been a very eventful summer and I can’t believe Labor Day is just around the corner.
But the SHARP seniors have plenty of activities to look forward to on Wednesdays during the month of September.
On September 2 we will have a recipe and coupon exchange and some Walk this Way exercise time.
We will share our back to school memories and plan future activities.
Our gathering on September 9 will include chair exercises, Labor Day trivia, and we will enjoy a breakfast for lunch day.
Note that our program will end at 1 p.m. this day.
September 16 is Share a Joke Day. There will also be a Balloon Bonanza and a “Remember when…” activity.
Autumn Foliage Day is September 23 and we will celebrate fall by taking a chairlift ride up McCauley Mountain and having a picnic at the top.
Dress in layers and bring your camera! Rain date is September 30.
On September 30 we will watch a movie, followed by a discussion.
We will also have a “Twist and Shout” activity and a Spelling Bee. (Rain date for the chair lift).
Every week there is a variety of games to choose from.
SHARP is a free program offered to all independent senior citizens from Woodgate to Raquette Lake.
We meet at Niccolls Memorial Church in Old Forge from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Wednesday.
Lunch during our regular Wednesday sessions is provided by the Community Health & Wellness Fund (formerly the Town of Webb Health Center Fund.)
