New playground equipment installed at McCauley Mountain

IMG_3743*****The new playground equipment at McCauley Mountain Ski Area, which was made possible by a recreation grant through Herkimer HealthNet’s Creating Healthy Places program, was installed on Tuesday, August 25.

The Town of Webb received funding in the amount of $6,483 for the improved equipment through the community grant writing assistance of CAP-21’s Executive Director Nick Rose.

Herkimer County HealthNet is a New York State Department of Health funded Rural Health Network that administers the Creating Healthy Places to Live, Work and Play Grant.

Its mission is to create and enhance spaces where individuals and families can participate in physical activity in fun and safe environments, therefore improving their health and well-being.
