Walt Hagues, author of the book “An Artist’s View of Inlet, NY” has introduced his second book, “An Artist’s View of Old Forge, NY,” which he describes as his latest “pictorial guide” to an Adirondack hamlet.
Both books feature Hague’s art and illustrations, along with some personal anecdotes and history.
Hagues said he became inspired to produce the series at an Inlet Authors’ Fair hosted by Reggie Chambers of Adirondack Reader.
He decided to illuminate Adirondack communities through writings and illustrations.
His first book, focusing on the hamlet of Inlet, was published in 2014.
“An Artist’s View of Old Forge” has an added feature, a story by Charles Herr, local historian and author.
The books are available locally at the Old Forge Hardware and the Goodsell Museum in Old Forge.
They are also available at the Adirondack Reader in Inlet.
