The American Legion members of Post 893 would like to thank all who supported and purchased raffle tickets for our Wounded Warrior Program over Snodeo weekend. All proceeds will be used to bring five families from Fort Drum to Old Forge with an all-expense paid weekend in June.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Central Adirondack Association (CAA), Town of Webb Publicity Director Mike Farmer and CAA Events Coordinator Lori Barkauskas for all their help in making this event come to fruition.

Ken Parkis won the first place prize of a Basket of Cheer. Ken was the winner two years ago and donated the prize back to the American Legion, as he did again this year. Members of our post can’t thank him enough for his generous giving to support our Wounded Warrior Program and all veterans.

Lorrie Osborne won the second place prize of an air compressor donated by ACE Hardware of Old Forge.

Ron Face won third prize, a Meyda lamp donated by the Robert Cohen family of Meyda Lighting of Utica.

Respectfully, Lou Salin, Committee, Chairman Post 893
