St. Bartholomew’s to host Lenten program, March 11

The IMC Mystery Players from the Immaculate Heart Central High School in Watertown will bring the centuries old Stations of the Cross to life in a moving and dramatic Lenten performance at St. Bartholomew’s Catholic Church in Old Forge on Sunday, March 11, at 7 p.m.

Using the Sanctuary of the church as a stage, the pantomime presentation of the events leading up to the death and resurrection of Jesus will be enhanced by special lighting, music and liturgical readings. The IMC Mystery Players presented a similar performance at St. Bartholomew’s Church during the Lenten season in 2007.

They have also performed at churches throughout the state, as well as in Massachusetts and other neighboring states beginning in 1981.

The public is welcome, but please be advised that small children may be frightened due to the nature of the play.

Also, please refrain from taking pictures during the actual event. For more information call St. Bartholomew’s Church at 369-3554.
