Adirondack singer/songwriter Jamie Savage will perform two half-hour shows at noon and 1:30 p.m.
There will be a field trip to Black Pond to see loons up close from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
Preregistration is required. Sign up at adkloon@briloon.org, call 888-749-5666 ext.145, or call the VIC at (518) 327-6241.
Join organizers for a reception from 3:45 to 5 p.m. during which the silent auction will close and the results of the loon quilt raffle will be announced.
The handmade quilt depicts a pair of loons raising two chicks on an Adirondack lake.
The queen-sized quilt was created by Dr. Nina Schoch, coordinator of BRI’s Adirondack Center for Loon Conservation, based on a McKenna Ryan design, and quilted by Susan Ochs of Saranac Lake.
It is a free event, but donations will be accepted. The event will be a fundraiser for both Biodiversity Research Institute’s Adirondack Center for Loon Conservation and Paul Smith’s College VIC.
