VIEW, the arts center in Old Forge, has announced a call for entries for the 2016 Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors.
The exhibition is open to all artists working in water-based media on paper.
This includes transparent and opaque watercolors, acrylics, casein, egg tempera, gouache, and ink. Continue reading
The 34th annual Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors at VIEW, the arts center in Old Forge, will open with a reception on Friday, August 7 from 5 to 7 p.m.
The reception is free and open to the public and refreshments and light fare will be served.
This year’s exhibition features 86 works by 81 artists from across the United States and Canada, selected from a pool of over 400 submissions. Continue reading

An opening reception for the 34th annual Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Water-colors will be held at VIEW, the arts center in Old Forge, on Friday, August 7 from 5 to 7 p.m.
The reception is free and open to the public. Refreshments and light fare will be specially prepared by Town of Webb graduate and executive sous chef of the Club at Olde Cyprus, Naples, FL, Justin Connerty.

The 33rd annual Adirondacks Exhibition of Ameri-can Water-colors is currently on display at VIEW, the arts center in Old Forge, and Cory Card, VIEW’s exhibitions manager, encourages anyone who has not yet stopped by to see the show, to take advantage of it before it closes on October 5th.

VIEW board member Gary Lee will be named Director Emeritus of the arts center during the opening reception of the 33rd annual Adirondacks Exhibition of American Watercolors on Friday, August 8th.
The honor is bestowed upon retiring board members who have given a significant amount of their time over a long period of time, and who have made a positive impact on the arts center. Continue reading
