The annual Polar Bear Plunge was held at the public beach in the Town of Long Lake on Satur-day, January 2, raising over $3,200 for The Wounded Warrior Project.
This year, there were 24 brave plungers, according to event organizers, who describe it as a fun way to raise money. Continue reading

The Moonlighter’s Snowmobile Club and the Town of Long Lake will host a Winter Carnival on Mt. Sabattis on Saturday, January 17.

The Town of Long Lake is sponsoring a winery tour bus trip to the Thousand Islands on Saturday, November 22nd.
The Little Bus will depart from the Geiger Arena at 8 a.m. to meet the Brown Bus in Blue Mountain Lake. From there it will make a stop in Raquette Lake and venture on to the Thousand Islands. Continue reading

• The Inlet Youth Commission will also host its annual Halloween Parade and Party on Friday, October 24.
Parade line-up begins at 6:30 p.m. at the parking lot between St. Anthony’s Church and the Church of the Lakes on Main Street.
Following the parade through town, all are invited to the Inlet Emergency Services Building for costume judging and refreshments. Continue reading
