The Covey-Pashley American Legion Auxiliary Unit #893 is accepting applications for the Mary Russell Continuing Education Scholarship.
The scholarship is named in honor of late auxiliary member, Mary Russell, who was a proponent of education and higher learning and always encouraged anyone who was willing to work hard to get a better education. Continue reading

The Covey-Pashley American Legion Post 893 and Sons of the American Legion in Old Forge held an installation of officers for 2015 to 2016 at a dinner meeting held Thursday, June 25.

The Pointed Pine Quilters have handstitched a quilt that will be raffled by American Legion Post #893 to benefit its Wounded Warrior Project.
The patriotic-themed quilt features blocks of red, white and blue and will be on display at the Legion Post and various other locations throughout the summer.
One thousand tickets will be sold at $2 each or three for $5 and can be purchased from legion members. Legion volunteers will be selling tickets during multiple events throughout the summer and fall.
The quilt will be raffled when tickets are sold out.

The American Legion members of Post 893 would like to thank all who supported and purchased raffle tickets for our Wounded Warrior Program over Snodeo weekend. All proceeds will be used to bring five families from Fort Drum to Old Forge with an all-expense paid weekend in June. Continue reading

Covey-Pashley American Legion Post #893 of Old Forge invites all to a Veterans Day Ceremony on Tuesday, November 11 at 11 a.m.

The ceremony will take place outside the Legion Hall which is located on Route 28 across from the Town of Webb Visitor Information Center.
